Dolphins’ Mike McDaniel contemplating QB change

0

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel opened the door to a possible quarterback change Tuesday, saying “everything’s on the table,” after Tua Tagovailoa‘s performance in Monday night’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Dolphins (6-8) were eliminated from playoff contention Monday with the 28-15 loss at Pittsburgh, in which Tagovailoa completed just 6 of 10 passes for 65 yards and an interception through three quarters.

When asked after the game whether he was considering a quarterback change, McDaniel said he didn’t want to make a “rash” or “shortsighted” decision. His tone changed Tuesday.

“I think the quarterback play last night was not good enough, and so for me, everything’s on the table,” he said.

Tagovailoa finished 22-of-28 for 253 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception. Both touchdowns came in the fourth quarter with the Dolphins trailing 28-3. Entering Monday’s game, he hadn’t thrown for more than 173 yards since Week 9.

McDaniel admitted the Dolphins’ passing offense, which ranks 31st in the league since Week 10, hasn’t been good enough and “hurt us” in the loss.

Tagovailoa on Monday took responsibility for his play, and for what he called a lack of preparation.

“For one, I got to play better. I got to be better for our guys offensively,” he said. “Two, I’m pretty disappointed with how ready I got our receivers, in terms of operation, in terms of guys knowing where to line up, and communication when it comes to personnel.

“That’s something I harp to guys when we’re in our own player-led meetings, and I felt like I let our guys down in that aspect.”

McDaniel said he would make a decision about the team’s starting quarterback Wednesday. He has two options to choose from should he decide to bench Tagovailoa.

Miami signed former No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson this offseason, but he hasn’t started a game since 2023. The Dolphins also drafted former Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers in the seventh round of this year’s draft. Ewers briefly served as the team’s backup quarterback for its Week 7 loss to the Cleveland Browns and briefly entered the game but has otherwise served as the Dolphins’ emergency quarterback this season.

Tagovailoa signed a four-year, $212.1 million extension in 2024 after he led the NFL in passing yards in 2023. However, he missed a career-high six games last season and while he has been durable in 2025, he leads the league in interceptions with a career-high 15 in 14 games.

The Dolphins host the Cincinnati Bengals (4-10) on Sunday.

Silksong is getting a free expansion next year

0

It’s still hard to believe that Hollow Knight: Silksong actually came out this year, but now, we all have a new thing to wait for: the game is getting a free expansion in 2026, titled Sea of Sorrow. Team Cherry calls it the game’s “first big expansion.”

“New areas, bosses, tools, and more!” Team Cherry says in a blog post. “Hornet’s adventures continue in our nautically themed expansion, coming free for all players next year. We’ll keep further details a secret for now, but expect additional info shortly before Hollow Knight: Silksong – Sea of Sorrow releases.”

More than 7 million people bought Silksong, according to Team Cherry, and “millions more” played on Xbox Game Pass.

The original Hollow Knight is getting updated, too. Team Cherry is working on a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of the game that “incorporates all the updates and enhancements that Silksong received on the platform: High frame-rate modes, higher resolutions, and many additional graphical effects.” Players who own the Switch version of the game will get the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition as a free update when it’s available in 2026.

Ahead of that launch, Team Cherry says it will be “updating all versions of the original game for current platforms, adding features and fixing bugs.” Those changes include “full 16:10 and 21:9 aspect ratio support for those of you with Steam Decks or ultrawide monitors,” and PC players can try the new updates in public beta.

Early Week 16 bets: Broncos over Jaguars, Drake Maye to win MVP among picks

0

Week 16 gets underway with a huge matchup between NFC West rivals, as the Seattle Seahawks host the Los Angeles Rams on “Thursday Night Football.”

And we get another pair of rivalry games Saturday, with the Philadelphia Eagles visiting the Washington Commanders and the Chicago Bears hosting the Green Bay Packers.

Sunday’s slate features a big NFC South matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers in the early window of games. In the late window, the Jacksonville Jaguars visit the Denver Broncos and the Detroit Lions host the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The New England Patriots hit the road to take on the Baltimore Ravens to close out Sunday’s action, and the San Francisco 49ers face off against the Indianapolis Colts on “Monday Night Football.”

Matt Bowen, Pamela Maldonado, Ben Solak and Seth Walder looked at the early Week 16 odds and identified which ones are worth jumping on now before potential shifts later in the week.

Note: Odds by DraftKings Sportsbook and subject to change.

Bowen: Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence lit up the Jets in Week 15, throwing for 330 yards and five scores. But this Broncos defense is different. The pass rush. Sticky in coverage. Pressure schemes. Denver’s defense dictates the outcome of games. Give me the Broncos to cover at home.

Last week: Lions +6 at Rams (Rams won, 41-34)

Solak: The Ravens finally had a normal(ish) day on offense — but only 17 offensive points against the Bengals’ defense isn’t much to write home about. The loss of linebacker Teddye Buchanan is a sneaky big one, as the Ravens are wanting badly for LB depth. The Patriots’ loss to the Bills came with a few high-leverage second-half plays, but the Patriots still control their own destiny in the division by winning out. I make this closer to a pick ’em.

Last week: Patriots ML vs. Bills (Bills won, 35-31), Packers -2.5 at Broncos (Broncos won, 34-26)

Maldonado: Both teams want the same game script: Run the ball, shorten the game, avoid mistakes. Indy bleeds clock through Jonathan Taylor because of limited passing upside, especially if the offense stays conservative. The 49ers score efficiently but not quickly, comfortably grinding out drives. Sustained possessions, fewer chunk plays and red zone field goals point to pace killing this total.

Last week: Lions-Rams OVER 55 (Rams won, 41-34)

Walder: We’re buying the dip here following the Patriots’ loss to Buffalo, but the case for Maye remains strong. He ranks third in QBR, first in EPA per dropback and, in comparison to the other contenders, he receives less support from teammates. The Patriots rank 21st in pass block win rate, 25th in EPA per designed carry, and his top receiver is Stefon Diggs (who has been quiet for three straight weeks), without much strength behind him. Plus, New England relies on Maye a ton: The team ranks third in pass rate over expectation, higher than all the other MVP contenders’ teams. Yes, the No. 1 seed is a long shot at this point, but the Patriots currently have a 53% chance to finish in one of the top two seeds. While I’m at it, I might be tempted to sprinkle a little on Jordan Love at 75-1, too.

Last week: Cowboys -6 vs. Vikings (Vikings won, 34-26)

Kelly Osbourne Slams “Disgusting” Comments on Her Appearance After Dad Ozzy Osbourne’s Death

Content warning: This story discusses suicide.

Sharon Osbourne is putting one foot in front of the other.

Nearly five months after her husband Ozzy Osbourne died following a battle with Parkinson’s disease, the 73-year-old shared that she has contemplated the possibility of ending her own life.

“I would have just gone with Ozzy,” Sharon told Piers Morgan on the Dec. 10 episode of his show Piers Morgan Uncensored. “Oh, yeah, definitely, I’ve done everything I ever wanted to do.”

However, she shared that her kids Aimee Osbourne, 42, Kelly Osbourne, 41, and Jack Osbourne, 40, have given her a reason to continue on in life.

As Sharon put it, “They’ve been unbelievably just magnificent with me, all three of them.”

While the former Talk cohost has continued to cope following the death of the Black Sabbath frontman, she previously detailed in her 2007 memoir Survivor: My Story – The Next Chapter that the couple made an assisted suicide pact in the event that either of them were diagnosed with a life-altering brain disease.

TRENDING RUMORS

– Manchester United are seriously considering a January move to swoop in ahead of Liverpool and Manchester City for Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, according to TEAMtalk. The Red Devils are said to be weighing up the decision against their top priority of reinforcing manager Ruben Amorim’s midfield, with belief that the 25-year-old Ghana international could also shine as a wingback. Semenyo has six goals and three assists in 14 Premier League matches this season, but a recent scoring drought has seen him fail to score in the past seven games.

– AC Milan are interested in a move for Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus, Calciomercato reports. The Rossoneri remain keen on reinforcing their forward line in January, and it is believed that the 28-year-old is alongside Galatasaray‘s Mauro Icardi on their short list. The Brazil international reportedly wants to start regularly to bolster his chances of playing at the FIFA World Cup next summer, but the Serie A side is unable to cover his €7 million-a-season salary in full. He made his return to Premier League action on Saturday as the Gunners defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium following a lengthy injury layoff.

– A move for Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck could be stepped up by Bayern Munich, according to Bild. The 26-year-old is reported to be seen as a potential alternative to center back Dayot Upamecano, who is yet to sign a new contract extension at the Allianz Arena amid interest in his signature from both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. It is expected that BVB would demand an offer worth €50m for Schlotterbeck, who has previously been linked with Liverpool and Barcelona.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Mathys Tel has emerged as a potential option for Roma amid plans to strengthen their attack, Calciomercato reports. The Giallorossi see the 20-year-old as a potential alternative to Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, with the Red Devils keen on keeping him until the summer. The Serie A club is yet to make contact with Spurs regarding a deal for Tel, while it is also believed to be looking at Fiorentina‘s Albert Gudmundsson.

– New talks are set to take place between Napoli and the representatives of Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, according to Nicolo Schira. Mainoo continues to be linked with an exit from Old Trafford in the search for more minutes ahead of the World Cup, but the Red Devils have yet to indicate whether they are willing to part ways with the 20-year-old. It is believed that the Azzurri want to explore a potential loan deal in January.

iRobot files for bankruptcy | The Verge

0

After 35 years, the maker of the Roomba robot vacuum filed for bankruptcy protection late Sunday night. Following warnings issued earlier this year that it was fast running out of options, iRobot says it is entering Chapter 11 protection and will be acquired by its contract manufacturer, the Chinese-based Picea Robotics.

The company says it will continue to operate “with no anticipated disruption to its app functionality, customer programs, global partners, supply chain relationships, or ongoing product support.” This should mean that, at least for now, your Roomba will continue cleaning your floors just as it did before.

The Massachusetts-based company has struggled for years amid increasing competition from Chinese manufacturers. One of the early pioneers in household robotics, iRobot was founded in 1990 and launched its first Roomba robot vacuum in 2002.

Over two decades later, while iRobot is the Kleenex of the robot vacuum space, its market share has eroded significantly to companies like Ecovacs and Roborock. An acquisition by Amazon in 2022 looked set to reverse the company’s declining fortunes, but the deal fell apart under regulatory scrutiny.

Since then, iRobot has reinvented its product line and cut prices to better compete with rivals, working with Picea Robotics to develop new Roombas. But it has continued to see revenue decline. Reuters reports that US tariffs hit the company hard, especially the 46 percent in Vietnam, where it makes robot vacuums for the US.

“Today’s announcement marks a pivotal milestone in securing iRobot’s long-term future,” said Gary Cohen, Chief Executive Officer at iRobot. “The transaction will strengthen our financial position and will help deliver continuity for our consumers, customers, and partners.”

Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown on Getting Back With Kody Brown

Kody Brown Still Has Women Asking to Join His Family

Should Kody still be interested in having his love multiplied, there’s no shortage of options.

As he revealed to Robyn on the Nov. 2 episode, “I got another one of those emails from some woman talking about plural marriage.”

The unnamed person was “kind of chastising me for deciding to quit plural marriage,” he explained to his sole remaining bride. And then she offered up her services. “She’s calling me out,” Kody explained to Robyn, “and then asking sort of like to get to know us for the purpose of joining the family.”

Truthfully, it wasn’t an immediate no from Robyn, who admitted in a confessional, “For a split second, I think, ‘Oh, wouldn’t this be great? This is what I’ve always wanted for my life.’ And, ‘Hmm, would they fit.'”

Ultimately, though, it was a no.

“I find it very inappropriate that they would send it to Kody,” she explained of her issue with the outreach. “It’s not usually proper to go hitting on a guy. You have to go through the sister wives.”
